There are several festivals in the village during the year. Dates are difficult to give because they change every year, most of the festivals have a Buddhist character. New year is a good festival, at the beginning of the monsoon the monks go in retreat, at the end of the monsoon in October the monks come out of retreat and on both occasions there is reason to celebrate.
